WHO are these lessons designed for?

Good question! They are written for complete beginners, or someone
who has studied music in the past and has given up.
Students and adults 13+ can self study this course easily and have
done so with great success. Children as young as 8 have
successfully done these lessons alongside a parent guiding them
through the main lesson and exercises, leaving the reading burden on

the parent. The parent learns along with the student and usually love
this. They can play and learn music together.

For HOMESCHOOLERS with multiple children or students Print out
the progress sheet for each person in your family to keep track of
progress. These are located at the start of each course.

Who is this course for?

It was written for students ages 13 and up. A younger reading age child could be coached by a parent at home. This course is not just for someone who wants to be a pianist. It provides a grounding in the essential elements of music, invaluable for someone going on to play any instrument or sing.

I have no experience playing the piano. Can I still do this course?

This is the best possible course for a beginner because right from the start you’ll be reading the notes and playing them on your piano. You need no prior experience of reading music or playing an instrument.

What do I need to get started?

You will need a piano or keyboard. Keyboards are great for the simple reason you can plug in headphones as needed. While bringing music into your home is wonderful most days, there are times that headphones are useful!

What can I expect to find in the lessons themselves?

Most lessons are broken down into three parts:

Exercises of that skill
Tunes and parts of songs.
